Har sjekka med flere her i Narvik, bl.a. Mekonomen + de som selger Jeep/Nissan, men alle har bare vanlige kodeavlesere/nullstillere. Men skal kjøre til Tromsø i begynnelsen av neste uka, og skal avtale meg en tur innom Saab-forhandler Auto Nord der da. Skal få veksla H7-langlysene fra Halogen-oppsett til Xenon-oppsett, slik at ballastene får tilstrekkelig/rett strøm.

Man får vel ikke gjort noe med fjernlysa i tech2? Har hørt om at man kan sette opp at bilen har xenonlys, men det gjelder kun nærlysene.

Er ikke sikker, men tolker det slik ut fra det som sies hos saabcentral.com, nærmere bestemt her: http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/showt ... 07&page=76
For min del er det snakk om å få byttet ut de vanlige H7 Halogen til H7 Xenon-sett. Men de originale ledningene til H7 er tynne, og tror det er derfor jeg ikke får Xenon-settet til å tenne. Har org. Xenon i nærlysene, men H7 langlysene er for dårlige til å se elgen
I can't believe people are still messing around with capacitors and error cancelors, SAAB's are finicky enough without trying to fool it's electronics. Yes, people have got it working with different kinds of ways, but most of the time this involves resistors which get very hot. I tried a ton of different ways, but nothing really made me happy. I finally spent the 90 dollars, went to the dealer and had the xenon setting enabled. All my problems ended right there, no more flickering no more errors they work perfectly since then. If you have a dealer near you, or an Indy it's the best way to go. Your xenon kits will get the proper voltage, and they'll last a lot longer. Like I said, I know other people have gotten it to work different ways. But imho activating xenon setting is the best choice. And I also threw out my DDM kit, and I got a TRS kit which is such better quality hands down
Have xenon setting activated so the ballasts get a constant power feed and not a PWM feed.
Pulse-Width Modulation. A microprocessor in the UEC, REC, etc controls the frequency wave of the power supplied to certain devices in the car. For instance when the car is in halogen mode, it changes the power output so the halogen bulbs don't burn excessively hot, or get surges which would cause them to burn out prematurely. HID ballasts don't like this controlled power wave, they would rather have a raw sustained output since they are converting the DC power to AC and a HID bulb has a plasma arc not a filament so the bulb doesn't require protection of this type. So PWM is actually counterproductive in this application. That's why when Tech2 is used to activate xenon mode, it disengages the PWM power supply and uses a standard direct battery feed
